Fisherman's Corner presents the TPWA 2026 Summer League and Top Gun Championship.

The Summer League is a weekly walleye league(see schedule below) on every wednesday.

The Top Gun Series is a scoring system based on a number of qualifying categories scored throughout the summer. The ultimate winner is based on most points by the end of the summer.

6-9pm with the exception of 6-8:45pm on the later August nights and the makeup date if needed.​

Measurements

Fish must be minimum 15" in length to count towards length total​

All measurements will be rounded UP to the next 1/4in

A 15" fish to be rounded up to 15-1/4"​

A 16-1/2" fish to be rounded up to 16-3/4"

Each league night there is an optional $5 per boat side pot - 100% payout​

If 5 or less boats - Only 1st place will be paid​

If 6 - 9 boats - 1st and 2nd place will be paid 60/40%

If 10 or more - 1st, 2nd, 3rd place will be paid 50/30/20%

Photos

To be taken on a cell phone or if needed on a camera with an SD card​

Photos must be provided to judge when turning in measurement board

If no photo provided those fish will not be scored​

Shot 1 - Fish on measurement board with head to left of belly​

Shot 2 - Hero shot of fish and angler

Scoring/Recording
-
Scoring will be done on index cards passed out with measurement boards​

SD will be given at this time if needed​​

Cards must have angler's names and fish marked clearly and readable

Carry Over Night
-
A carry over will occur if no fish over 15" are scored​ or a cancellation happens after start and before 7:30pm
-
If a team fishing the carry over, that did not fish the cancelled night the fee will be $40/team and $10 for big fish

TPWA membership is not required for league events​​

Top Gun Championship Rules

Cost

$50 buy to be paid prior to the start of the 3rd league night​

Membership
-
When a team registers, a Top Gun team consists of 2 TPWA members
-
Only one team member needs to be present at a league night to gain points for their team​

Point System
-
Points awarded per place
-
100pts for 1st, 90pts for 2nd, 80pts for 3rd, etc​
-

5 pts per fish
-
Max 4 fish
-
-
5 bonus pts for scoring 4 fish per event
-
5 bonus pts for big fish
-
25 pts for fishing the championship event
-
Only 10 of the 14 league events will be scored​
-
Lowest 4 scores will be thrown out if a team fished all 14 events​

If a team only fishes 10 events then all 10 events will be scored

Payout
-
Fishermans corner will match up to $500 for the team that wins Top Gun​

TPWA Membership

For participation in Top Gun Championship TPWA membership is required​

Special Case Scenarios​​​

Carry Over
-
In the event no fish are scored in an event, the pot will be carried over to the next event
-
Then all top gun scores will then be doubled
-
-
Final Week No Fish
-
In the event no fish are scored in the final event then the pot will be paid out by a draw of a hat​
-
-
Weather
-
Cancellation will be left to the discretion of the leauge commitee​
-
If there is a severe weather threat that will affect the fishing hours the comittee will call to cancel the event
-
If the call is made after start but before 7:30pm then the night will carry over
-
If the call is made after 7:30pm then all points will be scored and payouts will be given
-
If a team is uncomfortable they can go to shore at any time with their current scores
-

Make Up Day
-
If an event is cancelled due to weather before the start of the event there will be a make up date​
-
The location of the make up date will be at the body of water of the cancelled event​​
